One of our readers, Lushpad was kind enough to comment and offer a little contribution on the Unusual Storage Roundup post. Lushpad inquired about whether or not any of the storage pieces were from Piet Hein Eek. Because I wasn’t familiar with Eek, I decided to pay a visit to their site. Needless to say, there are some really special things happening there.
Piet Hein Eek is located in a town called Geldrop in the Netherlands. They have three different categories of work– the collection, commissions and free work. The designers, woodworkers and metalworkers make everything from furniture to foosball tables to ceramics.
Wow! I’m so glad you wrote about Piet. He’s a fantastic designer, and makes a lot of his work from recycled wood. I’m a big, big fan of his.
