After 30 years in business, the national retail chain offering both a catalog and retail site, Smith & Hawken is closing it’s doors. The retailer of gardening tools and accents, everything for the exterior and a little for the interior has already closed their retail site.
In the past bloggers and shelter mags alike have gotten excited about S&H’s line of galvanized metal garden accessories and planters.
My local store in Raleigh, NC has already started the liquidation process. The store is pretty packed right now but as the percentages off increase the merchandise should start to dissapear. It is a fantastic store and if you have one near by you, odds are they’re gearing up for the big close too. I am headed there tomorrow before things get too picked over.
