I began reading Jamie’s blog From Me To You last year. I included her in my blog it forward inspiration post back in March and Jamie continues to inspire me everyday.
 

In addition to sharing all of the beautiful scenes that Jamie captures through her lens, she also shares some pretty amazing recipes.

Have I clearly expressed my appreciation for the photographic work of James Merrell?

I wish James Merrell would come to my house and take beautiful photographs of DC and I lying around on the sofa, looking as if we were bearing the weight of the world on our shoulders and contemplating all sorts of complex…stuff.

Rita Konig’s apartment, featured in Domino. This is a fun room to examine and take apart.

Notice the loveseat in this photo. It looks like it has been upholstered with three different fabrics and I love it! Striped on back, aqua on top, darker color on the bottom, maybe brown or navy? The dark color is repeated in the tufting and in the stripe.

With his book Jones Beach, Joseph Szabo may have been succcessful in making icons out of a unique and unlikely group.

Joseph Szabo snapped photographs at Jones Beach for three decades capturing a diverse group of tourists.

I recently spied this bedroom photographed by Laura Moss in House Beautiful.

Once I sought out her portfolio I found some other jewels I thought you might want to take a gander at.

This past weekend, instead of going to South Pasadena to take proper pictures of Craftsman homes, or going to Manhattan Beach to check out Maison Luxe - I went hiking in Thousand Oaks with Kate. And we used my iPhone camera and THE BEST CAMERA app to snap these fun pictures of us enjoying the day.

I realize that Christmas is over….. but uh. I just saw this picture of Sarah and her pretty husband Dan and I thought you should see it. Is that your mama’s tree Sary?

Several reproductions of Massimo Vitali’s work were recently on sale at One Kings Lane. The one above being one of the works that was for sale.

Massimo Vitali was born in Italy in 1944, he began the Beach Series in 1995.  Vitali’s work is collected in various museums and galleries around the world.  There are also some private collectors you may have heard of; Elton John, Cameron Diaz, Courtney Cox and Sasha Cohen to name a few.

Shortly after seeing some of the beach panorama prints for sale on One Kings Lane, I saw this in Lonny…then I pounded my fist on the desk and mumbled– where’s that extra $800.00 when I need it? DC doesn’t need to go to daycare for a month and 1/2 right?

Yes of course I’m still wishing and there’s something about this print…

Palm Springs Swimmer by Luna Park Productions

Before I left NC, I was hoping to do some urban exploring with John, like this chic from theindieimage. But her pics will have to suffice. I’m feeling inspired by the layers of paint. Its a fun practice to think about how to incorporate an old abandoned feeling into your decor.

Check out her website full of pictures. You’ll see that the old abandoned hospital goes far beyond any rational home decor. Its an amazing spot for a photo shoot though, and I would love to see some of Indie Image’s portraiture in it.
